The Name

Destiny Aitsuji has to be one of the weirdest names around. Why the strange name?

Destiny is something I believe in. I like this quote very much, it is by Jennings Bryan.

"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."

In my case, I believe my Destiny is made up of three things - Love, Freedom and Time. No one of these things are more important than the other. Hence my second name Aitsuji of Japanese origin.

Aitsuji - 愛つ時 in Japanese or 爱祝神 in Chinese. They are similar but slightly different.

Ai means love literally. Tsu or Zhu would represent my freedom. In Japanese it is from the word Tsubasa 翼 meaning wings to represent freedom. In Chinese it is Zhu 祝 which means to wish, a representation of my desires. Ji or Shen is meant to represent time. The meaning of Ji 時 means time literally but in Chinese I used a different word. I used the word Shen 神 which literally meant God because instead of Shi 时 which would mean time because time is something I would never control. It is a reminder to me that every second I spend alive is a second closer to my death. I want to live without regrets even if I cannot live to the fullest.

I am not a person very different from anyone. I am human like you. There is nothing really special about me so I will never understand the term 'fan'. I would like to consider the people supporting me and my dream to become a writer a friend I never knew because if you like what you are reading means we could agree to something. If we could agree on something, chances are that it was fate that brought us together. I may not know you but if we met by chance, I know we could get along well.
